As construction of the new operating rooms at Peninsula Regional Medical Center progresses, parking will be temporarily limited on weekends in March at the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute.
To lessen the inconvenience to patients and visitors, construction work requiring the closing of the entrance will only be done during weekends; however, the Medical Center will still be accessible. Patients and visitors going to the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute are encouraged to park in the gravel lots across from the Same Day Surgery entrance. After 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, the Henson entrance will be closed to traffic in preparation of repaving. On Saturday, March 16, the entrance may again be closed if work was not completed on March 9, and other parking areas near the entrance will undergo paving preparation. On March 23 and 24, parking areas around the Cancer Institute will be closed for paving and striping, and the Henson entrance will also be closed.
Peninsula Regional Medical Center regrets any inconvenience this may cause, and reminds any Henson Cancer Institute patient or family member requiring additional or specialized parking assistance on the weekend to call 410-546-6400 in advance of their visit or appointment.
