Dr. James Cockey of the Wicomico Health Department will present “Ethical Challenges in Vaccination: The 2015 Measles Outbreak” on April 7, 2015, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Peninsula Regional Medical Center’s Hallowell A. No pre-registration is required.
The presentation will review the history of vaccine preventable diseases and modern vaccines, discuss contributing factors behind the current measles outbreak, and discuss underlying ethical issues related to vaccine refusal, herd immunity and autonomy.
