Being near home and family is important no matter what condition you are facing. From cancer journeys to sleep help to middle-of-the-night emergencies, we are nearby with the best doctors, patient care and health outcomes.
We are better together on the Delmarva Peninsula. With 120+ years of care under our belt, you can be sure the TidalHealth team is here for you.
We like to say that a rising tide lifts all boats. Our talented physicians and staff give you exceptional care no matter what brings you to our doors.
At TidalHealth, community is our core. We put people at the center of all we do because we know that the best care can only be delivered on the foundation of a strong relationship and genuine connections.
Have you ever been in the hospital, bedridden, and you need something? Maybe you need a cup of water, a question answered, a bedpan or a machine to stop beeping. You hit the call button - and wait. Nurses at our medical center are dedicated to helping patients, but sometimes they might be helping another patient when your call light goes off.
We don't want patients to have to wait -- that's why Peninsula Regional has instituted the "No Pass Zone." That means that any hospital employee who sees a call light on is expected to respond -- nurses, doctors, facilities workers, assistants. Of course, if the need is medical, and a non-clinical employee stops by your room to see how he or she can help, your care team will be alerted right away. But if a patient needs an extra blanket or a light switched off, everyone from the Medical Center's CEO to your faithful blogger will be happy to help. If it's something we can't do, we will find your medical team and make sure you get what you need. It's part of how we try to treat every patient like a beloved member of the family. We want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible to get them on the path to better health.
Other hospitals have been rolling this idea out as well. Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, Maryland, created this entertaining educational video to help introduce its No Pass Zone. It is recommended viewing for those who want to know more about what the No Pass Zone entails, as well as for any aspiring Build-A-Bear Workshop models.
