Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) will be joining the Governor’s Challenge Basketball Tournament this holiday season at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. On December 27, 28, 29 and 30, PRMC will be at the nation’s second largest high school basketball tournament providing screenings, information, flu shots and giveaways each day.
On Tuesday, the 27th, the focus will be on Diabetes. PRMC staff will also be joined by representatives of Peninsula Home Care with information on the services they provide. On Wednesday, the 28th, PRMC’s Weight Loss & Wellness Center will be showcased. Peninsula NRH Regional Rehab will also be in attendance. On Thursday, the 29th, Prostate Cancer is the topic. Again, Peninsula Home Care will be present. On Friday, the 30th, PRMC will be providing information on its Behavioral Health service line.
On all four days, PRMC will be offering free flu shots on its Wagner Wellness Van, which will be parked directly in front of the Civic Center. As well, Peninsula Regional will be providing free blood pressure testing and giveaways all four days to everyone who participates in a screening or speaks with one their healthcare professionals.
