The Junior Auxiliary Board at Peninsula Regional Medical Center is looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers interested in gaining restaurant experience in the positions of Assistant Cashier and Assistant Server.
The Junior Board provides volunteers an exceptional opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to the overall healthcare experience of patients and family members who visit Peninsula Regional Medical Center. As well, those who are accepted into the Junior Board may satisfy volunteer requirements and will gain relevant experience in a gift shop and restaurant setting.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, have strong communication and time management skills, be detail and customer-service oriented and possess basic math skills.
Shift lengths vary from 2-3 hours between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Volunteers in these positions may work no more than four hours per day.
Since 1924, Junior Auxiliary Board volunteers have been raising funds and providing volunteer services for Peninsula Regional Medical Center and the community. The Junior Auxiliary Board has donated over $8 million for Medical Center equipment, programs, nursing scholarships and capital improvements.
